Cristiano Ronaldo has again entered the record books. After Portugal’s recent match against Iceland, a Euro 2024 qualifier which the former won 1-0 courtesy a Ronaldo equaliser, he became the first male player to play 200 international matches, thus entering the Guinness World Records.

He made his national team debut on August 20, 2003, at the age of 18, in a friendly match against Kazakhstan.

He is also the only player to score in five World Cups and holds the record for the highest number of international goals.
