Mamata Banerjee’s All India Trinamool Congress party will fight the upcoming general elections to the 18th Lok Sabha from Uttar Pradesh and Assam, too, other than Bengal.

In Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi parliamentary constituency, from where Lalitesh Pati Tripathi will be fighting, Trinamool could potentially be allying with the Samajwadi Party.

In Assam, Trinamool Congress is fielding Gauri Shankar Sarania from Kokrajhar (ST seat), Abul Kalam Azad from Barpeta, Ghana Kanta Chutia from Lakhimpur and Radhashyam Biswas from Silchar (SC seat).
