A delegation from Trinamool Congress will soon visit President Draupadi Murmu to discuss the situation arising over the arrest warrant issued by a court in Bengal against Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nisith Pramanik.

It sought an appointment with the President today and will meet her as soon as permission is granted.

The case relates to the BJP leader’s receiving property stolen from two jewellery stores in Alipurduar in 2009. The warrant was issued on Friday the 11th of November but the news came to light only on Tuesday night.

The minister reportedly left for Delhi as soon as news reached him on the arrest warrant. There have been no comments on the issue from him so far.
