Thundershowers and lightning hit Kolkata and 11 other districts
Thundershowers and lightning, accompanied by gutsy wind blowing at 30 to 40 kilometres per hour and light to moderate rain hit Kolkata and almost all the districts of south Bengal today evening.
Parts of Bankura, East Bardhaman, West Bardhaman, East Medinipur, Hooghly, Howrah, Jhargram, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Murshidabad, Nadia were affected for two to three hours.
The Alipore IMD office updated this event to a yellow alert, which asks for people to watch out and remain updated.
