Special directory for senior citizens

To ensure help can reach elderly citizens quickly in times of emergency, now that coronavirus is a big threat, more so for them, a directory has been created for such citizens living in housing complexes in and around Kolkata.

This would be useful especially for those who stay alone. The directory contains COVID-related helpline and telemedicine numbers as well as the phone numbers of the officials of the resident welfare associations of the complexes.

Other information includes names and phone numbers of doctors attached to each police station (a new service started by the police) and phone numbers of local corporation office, Health Department office and ambulance service.

Thus the elderly would now be able to contact any necessary help directly, without waiting for someone to do it for them.
