January 10, 2024 | < 1 min read

With the goal of consolidating all existing apps, numbering over 10, the Indian Railways is planning to launch a ‘super app’.

The all-in-one application will offer users services such as real-time updates on train status and ticket booking (including flights), complaint registration, food ordering, hotel booking and several other features, now available separately on apps like IRCTC Rail Connect, IRCTC Rail Connect-RAIL SARTHI, National Train Enquiry System, RailMadad, UTS, IRCTC eCatering Food on Track, etc.

The ‘super app’ will be accessible on both Android and iOS platforms through their respective app stores.

The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), the organisation responsible for managing the Railways’ information technology (IT) systems, has been assigned the responsibility of creating the new application.

With over 10 crore downloads, IRCTC Rail Connect is the most popular app among all the Indian Railways apps.
