NRS, RG Kar, BC Roy chosen for LaQshya & MusQan
NRS Medical College and Hospital, RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and BC Roy Children’s Hospital, all three in Kolkata, have been selected by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for getting awarded for their excellence in gynaecology and obstetrics.
They are among several from across country which have been chosen for the awards.
While NRS and RG Kar will get the LaQshya award for imparting top quality care “during intrapartum and immediate post-partum period in labour room and maternity OT”, BC Roy Children’s Hospital will get the MusQan award for making newborn and childcare services friendly.
Both awards are part of the National Health Mission and are given annually. Hospitals in Bengal have been getting these awards on a regular basis.
