Madhyamik results published

The Bengal Madhyamik examination results were published today in Kolkata. The overall pass percentage stood at 86.15 per cent. While 3,76,068 female students passed the examination, the number of male students was 3,06,253.

While the open category had a pass percentage of 86.15 per cent, that for the scheduled caste (SC) category stood at 82.88 and for the scheduled tribe (ST) at 76.03.

Among the districts, East Medinipur had the highest pass percentage of 96.81, followed by Kalimpong with 94.13 and Kolkata with 93.75.

The examination dates for next year were also announced—February 2 to February 12.

  • Devadutta Majhi – 99.57%
  • Subham Pal who – 98.71%
  • Rifat Hassan Sarkar – 98.71%

Knowing the marks

There are four ways to know the marks before getting hold of the physical certificates:

Students need to fill out three details to get the marks: roll number, date of birth and captcha on the website.

As for receiving the marks through SMS, here are the steps

  • Type WB 10 followed by roll number
  • Send the SMS to either 56070 or 56263
  • Receive scorecard via SMS
