The All India Trinamool Congress today removed former journalist Kunal Ghosh as the party’s state general secretary, a notification signed by party MP Derek O’Brien has revealed.

He was heard praising BJP’s candidate from the North Kolkata Lok Sabha constituency, Tapas Roy at a congregation organised on the occasion of a blood donation camp at Kolkata’s ward number 36, which was attended by both. that He said that Roy is a leader who stands by his organisation and raised his apprehensions regarding rigging in the constituency.

Till his induction into the saffron party just before the elections, Roy was the Trinamool MLA from the Baranagar seat. In these elections, he is up against his long-time bête noire in his former party, Sudip Bandyopadhyay, who is the sitting MP.

Kunal Ghosh’s tirades against Bandyopadhyay had cost him the post of party spokesperson a short time back.
