Kolkata records considerable growth in office space

In 2023, Kolkata reached a peak in office leasing, marking a nine-year high with a notable 16 per cent rise in office space sales.

Fuelled by considerable interest from businesses across diverse sectors, the city witnessed the leasing of 1.4 million square feet of office space, signifying a significant 20 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise compared to 2022.

Particularly noteworthy is the exceptional surge in new office completions, soaring by an impressive 332 per cent YoY, reaching 0.8 million square feet in 2023—the highest volume recorded in the last five years.
