Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay, continuing his hearing on the TET recruitment scam case, today ordered the cancellation of jobs of 36,000 untrained primary teachers recruited through the Teachers’ Eligibility Test in 2016.

In another landmark decision in the TET recruitment scam case, Calcutta High Court Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay today ordered the cancellation of jobs of 36,000 untrained primary teachers. These teachers were among those recruited in 2016, on the basis of the test announced in 2014.

However, he also said that those who had completed their teacher training courses in the meantime would retain their jobs.

As for the others, they would be able to continue in their jobs for the next four months, during which period they would get the salary applicable for para-teachers.
