The Warner Bros. studio, as part of its centenary celebrations, has decided to re-release its iconic Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series of films for a limited period across the country.

As part of its centennial celebrations, Warner Bros. (Warner Brothers) has re-released its massively popular Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings film series in India for a limited run from today. The films will be shown by the PVR-Inox and Miraj Cinemas multiplex chains across the country.

A Warner Bros. Discovery (as the company is now known as) press release said the Harry Potter eight-film series is being shown from May 5 to 11 and the Lord of the Rings trilogy will be shown from May 13 to 15.

All the eight Harry Potter titles (based on the novels by JK Rowling) will be shown—The Philosopher’s Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, The Goblet of Fire, The Order of the Phoenix, The Half-Blood Prince, The Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and The Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

The Peter Jackson-helmed acclaimed Lord of the Rings line-up (based on the novels by JRR Tolkien) comprises The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

Warner Bros. had already announced last month that it is developing a 10-year-long TV series based on the Harry Potter novels.
