Filmfare 2024: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt bag best acting awards

The 2024 Filmfare Awards were given out on Sunday. The awards ceremony this year had shifted to Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat.

The Best Male Actor and Best Female Actor awards went to the husband-wife duo of Ranbir Kapoor (for Animal) and Alia Bhat (for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani).

The Best Film (Popular) award went to 12th Fail, whose director Vidhu Vinod Chopra bagged the award for direction and whose protagonist-playing actor Vikrant Massey won the Best Actor (Critics) award.

The Best Film (Critics) award went to the Devashish Makhija-directed thriller, Joram,

The Filmfare Awards celebrates the best works coming out of the Hindi film industry.

Best Playback Singer (Male) – Bhupinder Babbal (‘Arjan Vailly’ from Animal)
Best Playback Singer (Female) – Shilpa Rao (‘Besharam Rang’ from Pathaan)
