Arjun Singh puts out another tweet, adding fuel to fire
In Bengal politics, all eyes are now on Arjun Singh. On May 21, he came out with another cryptic tweet:
Translated it reads: “I heard today the ocean has become egoistic/ Take the boat in the direction where the storm is brewing.”
Political experts think this indicates that his changing parties and returning to Trinamool Congress from the BJP is imminent, with ‘ocean’ here implying ‘BJP’, which has become egoistic, and he wanting to take the ‘storm’ or upheaval regarding his political future head on, that is, wanting to embrace the change.
This is the latest episode in the Barrackpore MP’s political life, which in recent days has seen him protesting the Union government’s jute policies, talking to the commerce and industries minister, and then to the BJP president on the issues and putting out cryptic messages on social media. All of these, many are saying, imply Arjun Singh’s returning to the Trinamool’s fold.
