Bengal govt institute sends 7 to UPSC

Seven students of the Satyendra Nath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre (SNTCSSC) have cleared the final round of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination.

Ankit Agarwal (AIR 297), Bratati Dutta (AIR 346), Goutam Thakuri (AIR 391), Anushka Sarkar (AIR 426), Rimita Saha (AIR 566), Paramita Malakar (AIR 812) and Mohammed Burhan Zaman (AIR 822) have made it to the final list of candidates who will be appointed as civil servants after the clearance of the interview round.

The SNTCSSC was inaugurated by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in 2014, “in order to create an ecosystem through which more awareness and confidence could be instilled in the minds of youths to compete in this national-level examination”, according to its website.

Their website further reads, “This year, 16 candidates from SNTCSSC, are appearing for the UPSC CSE 2023 Personality Test. Among them seven candidates have have made it to the final list of UPSC CSE 2023”.

Last year too, seven aspirants had made it to the final list from this institute.
