The Assembly elections to the five states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram are likely to be held between the second week of November and the first week of December. This was revealed by Election Commission of India (ECI) sources to India Today TV, who said the exact dates and other details will be announced between October 8 and 10.

The sources also said that, like in 2018, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram and Telangana may vote in a single phase and the left-wing extremism-affected Chhattisgarh in two phases.

Further, the counting of votes will happen together, between October 10 and 15.

Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are ruled by the Congress, Madhya Pradesh by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Telangana by Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Mizoram by the Mizo National Front, an ally of the BJP.
