Adani overtakes Ambani yet again to become Asia’s richest
Following a tumultuous journey in the wealth rankings last year, Gautam Adani has reclaimed his position as Asia’s wealthiest individual—shortly after the Supreme Court announced that no further investigations were necessary regarding Hindenburg Research’s allegations against the tycoon’s conglomerate.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani’s net worth surged by $7.7 billion in a single day to reach $97.6 billion, surpassing his Indian counterpart Mukesh Ambani. The latter, however, trailed closely, with a net worth of $97 billion.
In December 2023, Adani had ascended to the 16th position on Bloomberg’s global list of richest individuals.
