North Bengal national parks and sanctuaries to reopen next week

The Bengal Forest Department has decided to reopen the national forests and wildlife sanctuaries of North Bengal to tourists from next week.

The forests are due to reopen from 23rd September after remaining closed from 16th June to 15th September. This will prove to be a major economic boost for the tourism industry of North Bengal.

Gorumara, Jaldapara, Singalila and Neora Valley national parks, Chapramari and Mahananda wildlife sanctuaries, and Buxa Tiger Reserve will reopen as per the orders from the forest department.

It is hoped that reservations and bookings would come in for hotels and resorts and prove to be an economic booster after all these months.
