Nutritious menu for Covid patients

Bengal government has increased the allotment of money for food per COVID patient from ₹150 to ₹175 per day and has also specified the amount of food that will be provided to a person.

Here’s what is being served from breakfast to dinner:

The day starts with a cup of tea and two biscuits. For breakfast, patients are served four pieces of toasted bread, a banana, 250 ml of milk and a hard boiled egg.

For lunch, the menu is: 150 grams of rice, 50 grams of dal, fish or meat weighing 90 grams, 100 grams yoghurt and 100 grams of a vegetable dish.

A cup of tea and two biscuits for evening refreshments.

For dinner, they’re being served 100 grams of rice or roti, 50 grams of dal, 75 grams of a vegetable dish and 100 grams of fish or meat.

For vegetarians, the hospitals are providing paneer, or soya beans, or mushrooms. 

This food menu will be applicable in all COVID hospitals of Bengal. This menu has been made after consulting with experts.
