All the information and advance booking arrangements for visiting the forest city of Jhargram will be made easy by an app of Jhargram Tourism recognized by the State Tourism Department, which is waiting to be launched soon. The app can already be installed on mobile from the Google Play Store.
Not only Jhargram District, but also tourist facilities in places like Mukutmanipur in the neighbouring district of Bankura, Jhilimili and Bangriposi and Simlipal in Orissa can be booked in advance through this app.
Apart from illustrated information about the places of interest in Jhargram, Bankura and Orissa; through this app, tourists can also get acquainted with the art-culture, folk festivals and cuisine of those areas. Guest houses, rental cars and guides can be booked in advance. In case of advance booking, various packages will also be offered through this app.
Although, tourism industry of Jhargram suffered due to an extended COVID imposed lockdown, tourists have slowly started visiting the district since last June. The tourist information based app for Jhargram launched through Visital will help revitalize the tourism industry in the district. Especially private hotels and homestays will benefit from the advance booking facility. People associated with rental car service and guides will also benefit from the initiative.
