Bengal likely to formulate new set of guidelines for international travellers to state
With new variants of the novel coronavirus being detected in different countries, the Bengal government may formulate a set of guidelines for people travelling to the state from seven countries, including Bangladesh, South Africa, China, New Zealand, Mauritius, Zimbabwe and Bosnia.
A more transmissible variants of COVID-19 was found recently. The Health Department will therefore keep a close eye upon the people arriving from the above-mentioned countries, and guidelines will be drawn to monitor them, according to officials.
There will especially be a keen lookout on people arriving from Bangladesh, as many nationals from the country come to Bengal for medical treatment.
