Mithun Chakraborty discharged from hospital

Mithun Chakraborty was discharged from Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals in Kolkata a little while earlier as his health has improved. He was accompanied by his son Mimoh.

The actor-turned-politician was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, February 10 after he complained of chest pain while shooting.

An earlier statement by the hospital said that he was “showing good signs of recovery, fully conscious, oriented, active and has been consuming a soft diet”

On Saturday evening, after his admission, the hospital had issued a statement saying he “was brought to the Emergency Department of Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata, around 9.40 am with complaints of weakness in the right upper and lower limbs. Necessary laboratory and radiology investigations were carried out including an MRI of the brain. He has been diagnosed with an ischemic cerebrovascular accident (stroke) of the brain.”
