The Bengal government started the ‘Janasanjog’ programme on Saturday, January 20. It is a comprehensive outreach initiative similar to ‘Duare Sarkar’.

With a total of 6,130 camps across the state, the reported attendance reached 67,000 on the first day itself. The plan is to conduct a total of 82,000 camps till February 12.

At these camps, recipients have the opportunity to avail themselves of 21 government schemes, including applying for caste certificates, disability certificates, migrant worker enrolment, widows and elderly pensions, Lakshmir Bhandar, Bhabishyat Credit Card and Kisan Credit Card.

CM Mamata Banerjee has stressed on ensuring no beneficiaries are overlooked, directing a minimum of three officials to oversee each camp.
