ICC ODI World Cup fixtures announced; India to open against Australia

June 27, 2023 | < 1 min read

The schedule for the ODI World Cup to be played in India from October 5 to November 19 has been released.

The opener will see a sizzling match-up—involving the last World Cup’s finalists England and New Zealand. While England won a last-ball thriller four years back at the iconic Lord’s, let us see who wins the opener at another iconic stadium—Motera in Ahmedabad, which is now the world’s largest.

The big match between India and Pakistan will also take place in Ahmedabad, on October 15. India’s first match, though, will be against Australia, on October 8 in Chennai.
