Animated Spider-man swings into record books
The animated version of Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has become Sony’s most successful animated release.
Since its release on June 1, the web-slinging adventure has catapulted itself into the prestigious double-digit club, earning a commendable net collection of Rs 18.84 crore in India. This is more than doubled the opening weekend earnings of its predecessor, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Not only that, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that the film’s weekend earnings (June 1 to 4) of Rs 18.84 crore is the highest opening weekend for an animated film.
