Ashish Vidyarthi gets hitched for a second time
Acclaimed actor Ashish Vidyarthi has tied the knot for a second time, to Kolkata-based fashion entrepreneur from Guwahati, Rupali Barua.
The 57-year-old National Film Award-winning actor of over 200 films across 11 languages and the 50-year-old entrepreneur had a court marriage followed by an intimate gathering the same evenng at Tolly Club in Kolkata.
As a tribute to their roots, for the wedding day, Ashish was seen dressed up in a mundu (his father is a Malayali and mother a Bengali) and Rupali in a white-and-golden mekhela-chador.
Ashish Vidyarthi is known for playing antagonists in movies. His filmography includes Drokhaal, 1942: A Love Story, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. He is also the co-founder and co-owner of Avid Miner, a leadership training programme and a food vlogger with a good following on social media.
Rupali Barua is associated with the handloom fashion store, NAMEG in Kolkata, and also owns a cafe called Na-Ru-Meg.
Ashish was earlier married to Rajoshi Barua, the daughter of veteran actress Shakuntala Barua, and they have a son, Arth.
