Arjun Sigh flies to Delhi; rumours start flying about as well

The Barrackpore MP, BJP’s Arjun Singh has gone to New Delhi today to meet his party’s all-India president JP Nadda. Though he did not say anything about the agenda of the meeting when questioned at Kolkata Airport, saying instead that it would be decided by the party president, he did open his mouth about the working of the party.

“There is something wrong in the working of a certain ministry, about which I have spoken time and again. If a party leader makes mistakes, won’t I speak about it?”

He also said he hoped the meeting will bring about a solution to the issues he has brought up recently, which have led to tensions between him and his party. “If a solution is not found out, I will tell about it as well,” Singh signed off.

Sources say that the meeting with Nadda has been called specifically to iron out the wrinkles which have appeared within the BJP over the Barrackpore MP’s recent comments about the Union government’s lack of efforts to revive the jute industry. The party reportedly does not want to alienate him.
