Kolkata Metro schedule during Durga Puja

Kolkata Metro will go back to its all-night services during the days of Durga Puja after a gap of two years. The COVID-19 pandemic has abated to a large extent and so a large number of people are expected to hit the Puja trail.

The general manager of Kolkata Metro Railway, Arun Arora announced the schedule recently.

North-south corridor

Panchami and Sashthi (September 30 and October 1)

  • 288 trains
  • First train from Dum Dum at 8 am, last train from New Garia at 10.50 pm
  • First train from Dakshineswar at 8.10 am, last train from Dakshineswar at 10.38 pm
  • From New Garia, last Dakshineswar-bound train at 10.40 pm

Saptami, Ashtami and Navami (October 2, 3 and 4)

  • 248 trains
  • First train from Dum Dum at 1 pm, last train from New Garia at 4 am (that is, the next day)
  • First train from Dakshineswar at 1 pm, last train from Dakshineswar at 3.48 am (that is, the next day)
  • From New Garia, last Dakshineswar-bound train at 3.50 am

Dashami (October 5)

  • 132 trains
  • First train from Dum Dum at 1 pm, last train from New Garia at 10 pm
  • First train from Dakshineswar at 1 pm, last train from Dakshineswar at 9.48 pm
  • From New Garia, last Dakshineswar-bound train at 9.50 pm

October 6, 7 and 8

  • 234 trains
  • First train from Dum Dum at 6.50 am, last train from New Garia at 10 pm
  • First train from Dakshineswar at 7 am, last train from Dakshineswar at 9.28 pm
  • From New Garia, last Dakshineswar-bound train at 9.30 pm

On usual week-days on the north-south corridor, the train count is 288 and on Saturday, it is 282.

East-west corridor (between Sealdah and Sector V)

Saptami, Ashtami and Navami (October 2, 3 and 4)

  • 72 trains
  • First train from Sealdah at 11.55 am, last train at 11.35 pm
  • First train from Sector V at 12 noon, last train at 11.40pm

Dashami (October 5)

  • 48 trains
  • First train from Sealdah at 11.55am, last train at 7.35 pm
  • First train from Sector V at 12 noon, last train at 7.40 pm
