KKR defeats CSK in their penultimate match
In their penultimate match of the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League today, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
This extended CSK’s wait for a play-off berth, but they need to win their next and last match to avoid any hiccups.
For KKR, though, this was more of a consolation win; they are effectively out of the play-offs after their decisive loss to Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens in the previous match. For the mathematical chance to come into play, they must win their last match.
