Chennai Super Kings are the champions of IPL
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the champions of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, their fifth title in 10 finals. This was also Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s last match, both as captain and player of CSK.
The Gujarat Titans put up a good score of 214. However, the rain-interrupted innings of the Super Kings forced the implementation of the DLS method.
As a result, the target score to be achieved was reduced. However, it was still as tight as it could be.
In the end, CSK needed 10 runs off two balls. Ravindra Jadeja achieved it in style with a six and a boundary off Mohit Sharma’s balls.
