New KMC parking fees
The new parking rates for Kolkata Municipal Corporation-managed parking spaces are being implemented today.
The rates have increased substantially. For four-wheelers, whereas the old rate was Rs 10 right from 7 am to 10 pm, the new rate chart says it is Rs 20, and that too per hour, for just the first two hours.
For similar time periods, the parking fee for two-wheelers has increased from Rs 10 to Rs 20.
Here are the detailed rates:
For two-wheelers
Rs 10 per hour for 1st two hours
Rs 20 per hour from 3rd to 5th hours
Rs 50 per hour from 6th hour onwards
For four-wheelers
Rs 20 per hour for 1st two hours
Rs 40 per hour from 3rd to 5th hours
Rs 100 per hour from 6th hour onwards
