Nursing college seats increased

2,667 seats added to Bengal’s nursing colleges

After deciding on recruiting 9,333 nurses in the recent past, Bengal has now added 2,667 seats to its nursing colleges, to have a total of 9,677 seats across all branches of nursing.

The seats encompass the courses of General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), BSc in Nursing, Post Basic BSc in Nursing and MSc in Nursing.

The details of the increase in seats are as follows:

GNM: From 4,500 to 5,577

BSc in Nursing: From 1,675 to 2,760

Post Basic BSc in Nursing: From 555 to 955

MSc in Nursing: From 280 to 385
