Trade license in Bengal in a matter of hours
The process of acquiring a trade license will soon become easier and faster in the state. Considering all documents are in order, from September, getting a trade license would be a matter of mere hours.
Instead of the 12-13 documents required earlier, only two need to be submitted: a government-recognised personal identity card and address proof of the place where the business establishment is going to be set up.
The pre-license physical vigilance is being done away with. It would instead be conducted after giving the license.
Alongside this, the time for renewing a license has been changed from a yearly affair to one to be done after three years, followed by five, 10 and 15 years.
